A NEW ERA IS HERE
The Ultra Compact Solutions include both compact flanges, clamps and seal rings based on same principles as traditional compact flanges, clamps and seals, but more environmentally friendly connections through being smaller, lighter and compatible with each other compared to traditional compact connections.
The Ultra Compact Connection range has been developed by our world class team of compact flange experts, in order to simplify manufacturing, installation and maintenance of connections as well as reducing the overall cost.
Technical Data
The TPC ultra compact connections are offered for standard industrial service as well as custom ranges for low and high temperature – pressure combinations.
- Codes: NORSOK U-001, NORSOK L-005, ASME B31.3 (ASME VIII Div. 1, Div. 2, Div. 3), API 6A, API 17D and PED
- Ratings: ASME 150lbs, through API 20K, covered by four pressure classes LD, SD, HD and XHD .
- Temperature range from -200°C to +250°C. Special designs available up to +700 °C
- Sizes: 1/2″ through 80″
- Materials: CS c/w Cladding, low and high Alloy steel, SS and Chrome/Nickel Alloys
- Seal rings available: UX rings as standard. Size rings, HX and other alternatives available upon request

TPC ultra compact connections
SMALLER AND LIGHTER
Cut up to 90% weight compared with ASME flanges . 50% lighter than the standard Compact Flange. This allows a more compact design of pressure-containing equipment resulting in lighter and smaller process systems.
MINIMIZE COSTS
Cut approx 50% CAPEX compared with ASME flanges, cut 100% OPEX. Due to lower weight and maintenance free design.
LESS DESIGN WORK
By reducing the number of flange design variations, calculations will be simplified drastically by minimising the flange selection. There are only 3 pressure classes: Light Duty (under consideration), Standard Duty and Heavy Duty.
UX BI-DIRECTIONAL SEAL RING
The TPC UX, bi-directional seal ring system (used for Standard Duty and Heavy Duty) utilises the “true sealing principle”. The same seal ring is used for both flanged and hubbed interfaces and is suitable for both topside and subsea systems.
REDUCING VARIANTS, CREATING UNIFORMITY
Same pressure ratingfor flange, clamp hubs and swivel collars + reduced variants of bolts, smaller sizes and standardised lengths. Same level of tolerances for flanges and hubs. Standardized surface finish and radiuses.
EASY INSTALLATION, NO MAINTENANCE
Simplified design range results in reduced requirements to bolt pre-loading tools. Our connectors are considered maintenance free and are extremely reliable, whether there are use for high or low temperature/pressure applications.
DECREASE CO2 FOOTPRINT
Less produced CO2 during manufacturing and transportation. Typically 90% less use of steel + less use of alloys (which access will be limited in the future).

This unique feature allows hub ended valves to be assembled to flanged piping.

THE UX SEAL RING
THE UX SEAL RING
The new TPC UX, bi- directional seal ring, with independent pressure assisted seals is the centrepiece of our TPC Ultra Connector range. The UX is made of an inner ring (IR) and outer ring (OR). The inner segment (IR) is an internal pressure-energised bore seal. The IR is the pressure-containing seal, and will be utilised both topside and sub-sea. The seal system is currently being qualified and type approved for 15K design pressure, temperature range -29 to 135°C and 3000 m water depth in a variety of material grades and is about 1/3 of the total height of the size-seals used in traditional clamp connections

innovative and easy way to combine hubs with flanges
Our unique swivel design allows hub ended valves to be assembled to flanged piping in a more easy way. Our patented split ring swivel ring design with threaded holes allows fluent installation without the need of nuts.
