A compact flange is significant smaller and lighter than a standard ASME/ANSI/API/DIN flange. The design is developed through detailed and qualified analysis and is based on a static behavior achieved through face-to-face flange surface contact, with very high strength capabilities and no need for maintenance.
They can be used wherever a need to connect two pipe ends or structural elements.
ISO 27509, Norsok L-005, API 6A/17D/6X, ASME VIII Div 2&3, ASME B31.3, EN 13445-3, EN 13480
Each design is optimized for its specific application, resulting in a smaller, lighter, and more reliable solution that is virtually maintenance-free. Furthermore, our systems can be engineered to withstand extreme requirements and severe loading conditions.”
TP‑Products’ compact flange technology is primarily used in the oil & gas industry, but also in renewable energy applications such ashydrogen systems and floating offshore foundations and turbine towers.

Pressure classes are designated differently depending on regional standards and industry practices. While the metric system, utilizing bar(g), is preferred in many regions, the use of PSI remains standard worldwide—particularly within industries aligned with US-based frameworks such as ASME and API.
Oil & Gas
Our TPC Compact Flanges are fully interchangeable with all flanges of that design type, including the SPO.
The TPC Compact Flange (CF) stands out as a highly reliable solution, particularly for applications where installation and operation are performed by divers. The design delivers a compact, lightweight, and maintenance-free connection that maintains superior sealing integrity under demanding conditions. Please note, however, that the TPC Compact Flange is not intended for ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) installation or operation.
Backed by comprehensive testing and extensive operational experience, the HX seal has demonstrated superior performance and is recognized as the most reliable sealing solution for flange applications.
The TPC Compact Flange (CF) is an engineered alternative to conventional flanges, delivering a more compact, lightweight, and maintenance-free design. It ensures superior sealing integrity and long-term reliability under demanding operating conditions.
No, our TPC and UCF solutions are always engineered and developed to meet project-specific requirements.
Our flange technology features a proven track record of long-term performance, with reference projects installed as early as the 1990s that remain in active operation today. This history demonstrates the robust design, exceptional durability, and reliable performance of our solutions in harsh splash-zone conditions over extended periods without requiring maintenance.
Wind
TP-Products’ static structural wind power flanges can be utilized in transition pieces, turbine towers, and floaters, serving as a superior replacement for traditional L/T-flange solutions and welded connections.
TP-Products’ structural wind power flanges offer a unique alternative to traditional L- and T-flange solutions in systems exposed to high dynamic loads, such as turbine towers, transition pieces, and floaters. Engineered to deliver higher strength capacity while remaining entirely maintenance-free, they provide superior reliability over standard connections.
Yes, TP-Products can supply both L-flanges and T-flanges tailored to your project requirements.
Our wind power flanges have received Approval in Principle (AiP) and subsequent design certification from DNV for use in floaters, turbine towers, and transition pieces. This validation follows extensive physical testing on flanges up to 2 meters in diameter, alongside rigorous finite element analysis. Proving their real-world reliability, TP-Products’ wind power flanges have already been successfully installed on three operational floating structures.
Our flanges are entirely maintenance-free because they form a static connection that prevents bolts from loosening. Additionally, the face-to-face design creates a complete seal that prevents water or air from entering between the flange faces, eliminating the risk of internal crevice corrosion.
TP-Products’ wind power flanges deliver a significantly higher strength capacity than traditional flange solutions for the same design scenario. By utilizing engineered face angles, our design optimally distributes loads between the heel and the wedge, allowing the flange itself to be pre-loaded. Conversely, traditional flanges are flat, making it impossible to distribute loads between the heel and wedge or to pre-load the flange structure effectively.
TP-Products’ wind flanges are designed in Norway and manufactured by approved sub-suppliers in either Europe or Asia, depending on the location of the wind farm project and customer requirements.
Yes, both our L- and T-flange solutions are patented for use within the wind energy sector.
Nuclear
Our internal testing and calculations demonstrate that our flanges remain completely leak-free within a temperature range of -200°C to +500°C.
For applications extending beyond 500°C, specialized design modifications are required to ensure long-term structural integrity and leak prevention. We possess extensive experience in evaluating material creep and thermal stress for flanges exposed to these extreme high-temperature environments.
Yes, up to 750 degree Celsius.Â
All specifications are according to ASME Section III for nuclear applications, with strict internal control of the supply chain, ID-marking, and QC.
By design, modern nuclear facilities are safe and reliable. This high standard of safety is built on nearly 80 years of operational experience combined with advanced predictive modeling and sophisticated structural analysis.
As a sub-supplier to the industry, we fully understand that the market’s primary ambition is to transition toward factory-built modular fabrication and efficient on-site installation.
Over 30 years of experience in demanding subsea applications provides us with the unique knowledge required to deliver the quality, durability, and robustness needed by the nuclear industry. This allows us to cost-effectively utilize proven competencies and focus on developing standard, high-reliability solutions rather than engineering costly, unproven alternatives from scratch.
In the nuclear sector, “HRS connection flanges” is typically used as a generic term for high-integrity or high-reliability flange systems and single connections. Within our portfolio, our Compact Flanges (CF) and Ultra Compact Flanges (UCF) are engineered with advanced metal-to-metal sealing technology, placing them squarely within this category of high-integrity flange solutions.
LNG
Yes. TP-Products’ clamps are certified by most major classification societies in accordance with the Rules and Regulations for the Classification of Ships.
They are approved for use in critical marine installations, including ship piping, machinery piping, cargo piping systems, compressed natural gas (CNG) tankers, and vessels with Gas Fuelled or Low Flashpoint Liquid (LFL) Fuelled class notations. These certificates cover a comprehensive range of dimensions, temperatures, and pressures, and can be provided upon request.
- Temperature Range: -196°C to +250°C
- Maximum Working Pressure: 690 bar
Hydrogen
Yes, we have several project references for our flanges and connectors within hydrogen applications. Please book a meeting with us, and we would be happy to share more information.
Our experience shows that flange behavior under high pressure remains the same regardless of the industry. Even though our certifications are primarily related to the oil and gas sector, our products fulfill the exact same technical requirements for hydrogen and equivalent applications. Ultimately, leak integrity depends entirely on how the flanges are designed and engineered.
Our experience is predominantly related to interconnecting piping and integration into several OEM designs for pumps and heat exchangers, typically on the downstream side.
