The developed design is based on principles and experience from delivering flanges to O&G systems exposed to harsh environment for more than 30 years. Relevant flange diameters are from 0,5 m – 10 m. Our wind power flanges have received Approval in Principle (AiP) and subsequent design certification from DNV for use in floaters, turbine towers, and transition pieces. This validation follows extensive physical testing on flanges up to 2 meters in diameter, alongside rigorous finite element analysis. Proving their real-world reliability, TP-Products’ wind power flanges have already been successfully installed on three operational floating structures.
Our flanges are entirely maintenance-free because they form a static connection that prevents bolts from loosening. Additionally, the face-to-face design creates a complete seal that prevents water or air from entering between the flange faces, eliminating the risk of internal crevice corrosion.
TP-Products’ wind power flanges deliver a significantly higher strength capacity than traditional flange solutions for the same design scenario. By utilizing engineered face angles, our design optimally distributes loads between the heel and the wedge, allowing the flange itself to be pre-loaded. Conversely, traditional flanges are flat, making it impossible to distribute loads between the heel and wedge or to pre-load the flange structure effectively.
TP-Products’ wind flanges are designed in Norway and manufactured by approved sub-suppliers in either Europe or Asia, depending on the location of the wind farm project and customer requirements.
